Kirby Smart, UGA Football Send Clear Message To Major Wide Receiver Target
Act now and get three months of Dawg Post for the price of one
ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs are crushing it on the recruiting trail.
They’ve added several commitments over the last few days and already have three wide receiver commitments in the 2026 class. Assistant coach James Coley is doing a terrific job on the recruiting trail and has Georgia in an excellent position with one of their top remaining targets.
That would be four-star Craig Dandridge.
One of the hottest wide receiver prospects in the country right now, the 6-foot-1 180-pounder earned an offer from Georgia back in January and shot up Coley’s board throughout the spring. The Cambridge (GA) star was in Athens this past weekend for an official visit and broke down the visit with Dawg Post.

According to FanDuel, the Detroit Lions have +145 odds to win the NFC North next season.
“My biggest takeaway was that I’m a top priority for them,” Dandridge told Dawg Post. “What they can offer isn’t going to be easy and they push their players like no other. Some big moments where all of my one on one talks with Coach Coley, Coach Bobo, and Coach Smart. Coach Smart made it clear that they are a top program that focuses on the development of their players to be better men and players. They want me to play the “Z” position but also told me they want to move me around some.”
As expected, family means a lot to Dandridge. He’s looking for a family feel and a place that will push him to be his best. The four-star certainly got that family vibe during his time in Athens.
“What makes Georgia so special is all the people that are around you,” Dandridge said. “The amount of people that only want the best for you and to help you, it’s makes it a very special place.”
Dandridge was out in California to visit Stanford and has visits lined up to Oklahoma and Tennessee soon. Sources say he’ll do his due diligence and go about the process, but after his official visit to Georgia, many insiders feel the Bulldogs could be tough to beat when it’s all said and done.
As a junior last fall, the speedy, sure-handed wideout hauled in 58 passes for 1,443 yards and 14 touchdowns, averaging just under 25 yards per catch and 120 yards per game. He’s a shifty, elusive wideout who can stretch the field vertically while dominating in the screen and short passing game.
Dandridge is currently ranked as the No. 35 WR prospect and the No. 229 overall prospect in the country.
