SCOOP: 5-star RB Raves About Recent UGA Football Official Visit
Act now and get three months of Dawg Post for the price of one
ATHENS - I wouldn’t pencil in five-star Ezavier Crowell into Alabama’s class just yet.
The Alabama native still might end up in Tuscaloosa when it’s all said and done, but after a big official visit to UGA Football over the weekend, it’s clear Crowell has a lot to think about.
An elite back who re-classified to skipped his junior season to reclassify into the 2026 class, Crowell is an elite do-it-all back who ran wild as a sophomore last season for Jackson (AL).
It won’t be easy to steal with away from the Tide, but insiders say the Bulldogs rolled out the red carpet for the No. 2 RB prospect over the weekend.
“Man, the visit to Georgia was incredible,” Crowell told Dawg Post. “From the moment I got there, you could feel the energy and the standard they hold themselves to. One of the biggest takeaways was just seeing how detailed everything is — from the way they practice to how they prepare players for life after football. It’s all first-class.”
DON’T FORGET YOUR FANDUEL BETS!!
According to FanDuel, the Baltimore Ravens have +700 odds to win the Super Bowl next season.
“Spending time with Coach Smart and the staff was huge,” Crowell added. “You can tell how much they care about their players, not just as athletes, but as people. Sitting in meetings, watching film, seeing how they coach — it really gave me a full picture of what life at UGA would be like. The players were real with me too — they love it there and you can tell they’ve built something strong together.”
“What makes UGA so special is that it’s built on a winning culture. It’s not just talent — it’s how they develop it. The resources, the coaching, the competition every day — it’s on another level. They’re not just trying to win games, they’re building champions on and off the field. That’s why they’re always in the mix for national titles. It was just a different feeling being there. You can tell it’s a place where you can become the best version of yourself.”
As a high-profile running back, it’s hard not to love everything Georgia has to offer. They made it clear to Crowell that he can leave the Yellowhammer state and be able to reach his full potential in Athens. Both on and off the field.
As we’ve reported all year long, the Bulldogs are hoping to sign two of the very best across the country in the 2026 class and Crowell is among the best of the best. They still have some work to do, but it’s clear they took a big swing this weekend with the big 5-foot-11 210-pounder.
Ranked as the No. 32 overall prospect in the country, Crowell ran for 1,964 yards and 31 TDs last season. He plans to make his commitment on June 26th.
