ATHENS -  Georgia football’s 2024 season closed in disappointing fashion with a sloppy loss to Notre Dame. The Dawgs have reset, and Kirby Smart has a very different team to lead over the next six months.

ATHENS - The UGA football program held its first practice of fall camp, which means that the 2025 football season is underway for the Dawgs. Dawg Post insider Ryan Kerley brings you his observations from the media viewing period.

ATHENS - The 2025 season is underway for the Georgia Bulldogs as fall camp starts this week. Here are some burning questions for the Dawgs:

Much attention has been placed on how much Georgia’s offense struggled in 2024 in what was a year of regression on that side of the football. The Dawg’s defense last season did not share that negative spotlight, but it did share harsh regression.

ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the Georgia football program might push back on playing players with big dollars as much as they can, but the Dawgs are adapting to the new college football word just like the rest of the country is trying to.

ATHENS - A UGA football offensive lineman was arrested last Wednesday on three drug related charges, including one classified as a felony.

ATLANTA - He would momentarily pause in the middle of sentences. He was either searching for the right words or the ones that would not become bulletin board material for anyone. Even so, Daylen Everette made a statement that could raise the expectation level for Georgia’s wide receiver room.

ATLANTA - The smile on his face only wavered when he was focused on listening to questions- deciding which few and simple words to slowly respond with. His laugh was constant and almost contagious- the media couldn’t help but return with their own happy faces when he was at the podium.

ATLANTA -  SEC Media Days are upon us and back in Atlanta. Kirby Smart and three players from the UGA Football program will take the stage on Tuesday.

ATHENS -  Even after his efforts to help win Georgia an SEC Championship, even after a respectable showing in his first career start in the Sugar Bowl, even after being the clear starter during spring practice, there is much doubt out there about Gunner Stockton.

ATHENS - During spring practice, UGA Football‘s biggest area of weakness seemed to be the front seven, more specifically the pass rushers.

ATHENS - With a team that is going through a lot of transition this offseason, there is some mystery as to which players are going to be key pieces, and that notion is true for the Georgia Bulldogs.

ATHENS - Kirby Smart had one concern about his Georgia Bulldogs football team that he continued to harp on during spring practice: This roster is the youngest and least experienced that he has coached in Athens.

ATHENS - There normally would be real concern for a position group that lost two high-quality starters to the NFL.

ATHENS - Georgia’s offense has to be better in 2025 if it wants to compete for a national championship. That is the bottom line.

ATHENS - It did not take long after hiring Kirby Smart in December of 2015 for the Georgia Bulldogs athletic department to know that it made a great decision.

ATHENS - Several game spreads have been determined early for the Georgia Bulldogs, and signs point towards the Dawgs being favored in every regular season game in 2025.
