ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs continue their hot streak on the recruiting trail.

After taking an official visit to Georgia over the weekend, three-star EDGE defender Marcellus Young-Casario‍ has committed to the Bulldogs today over Georgia Tech, Michigan State, among others.

Georgia defensive line coach Tray Scott offered by big 6-foot-6 260-pounder from Rabun Gap (GA) last fall when Young-Casario was in town to watch Georgia take down Kentucky.

The Dawgs continued to recruit the North Georgia standout and today there were able to land his public commitment.

“Coach Scott said he loves the way I play and that my size is unteachable. He said someone with my size shouldn’t be able to move like how I do! He said he sees me as a threat in a wide 9,7,5,4i,or 3 technique, pretty much anywhere on the line. Since I was a kid it was my dream to play SEC ball and Georgia is at the top of the SEC consistently. It truly felt like a blessing to have this opportunity.”

DON’T FORGET YOUR FANDUEL BETS!!

According to FanDuel, the Pittsburgh Steelers have +550 odds of winning the AFC North next season.

On film it’s easy to see an SEC-caliber player. He brings a great combination of size, length, and an excellent motor. He’s lean and athletic enough to play on the outside and rush the quarterback, but he also has a frame that should allow him to add more muscle mass and be able to possibly help some inside. He plays with good pad-level, he fires off the ball, and he knows how to make plays in the backfield.

Georgia’s newest commitment played in just six games last season but was able to make a major impact, making seven TFLs, three sacks and eight more quarterback pressures.

Young-Casario is currently ranked as the No. 54 EDGE defender and the No. 520 overall prospect in the country for the 2027 class. He also becomes Georgia’s third defensive line commitment, joining three-star defensive tackle Waylon Wooten‍ and three-star EDGE Olayiwola Oreofeoluwa Taiwo‍.
