ATHENS - The fireworks have started early for Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs today.
After an incredible month of June on the recruiting trail the Dawgs land their first commitment in July from four-star tight end Brayden Fogle.
The multi-sport standpoint out of Lexington (OH) chose the Bulldogs today over LSU and Penn State, giving Georgia their second tight end commitment in the 2026 class.
Fogle has always been a guy that assistant Todd Hartley had a close eye on, and once five-star Mark Bowman committed to USC and the end of May, sources say Georgia turned the heat up on Fogle. After his official visit to Georgia the weekend of June 6th, sources say the Dawgs made a big jump in his recruitment.
Now, Fogle has jumped on board and has committed to play for college football’s “Tight End University”.

What will Fogle bring to Athens?
Size, strong hands, and natural athleticism.
Fogle is a do-it-all tight end who can be a weapon in the passing game and a physical blocker in the run game. At 6-foot-4 235-pounds, Fogle is a dominant basketball star whose athleticism translates well to the gridiron.
He’s physically gifted and a willing blocker in the run game, but his ability to catch the ball in traffic and make plays down the field really stands out. He plays the ball well in the air and does a great job of winning jump-ball passes in single coverage. He uses his size to his advantage and high-points the ball over smaller defensive backs with ease. Once he has the ball, he’s tough to bring down. He runs well for his size and will only get better once he gets to Athens.
He’s a big athlete who can help an offensive in many different ways. He can play the traditional tight end role or flex out with out wide and play on the perimeter. His potential is easy to see and now Todd Hartley has another playmaking tight end on the commit list.
Where does Georgia go from here?
With two tight ends committed, all eyes turn to elite four-star Kaiden Prothro. The pass-catching machine out of Bowdon (GA) is committing on July 12th and will choose between Georgia, Texas and Florida. He’s been a major Bulldog target from the very beginning and sources tell Dawg Post that Georgia remains the team to beat in his recruitment. The 6-foot-6 220-pounder is ranked as the No. 2 TE prospect and the No. 29 overall prospect in the country.
As for Fogle, he’s ranked as the No. 10 TE prospect and the No. 159 overall prospect in the country. He joins four-star Lincoln Keyes on the commit list at tight end and becomes Georgia’s 27th overall commitment in the 2026 class.
