ATHENS - Things are starting to heat up for Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs in their pursuit of a quarterback in the 2026 class.

As we previously reported, the Bulldogs will be hosting five-star quarterback Jared Curtis‍ and his family for a multi-day visit starting Thursday. The elite gunslinger out of Nashville Christian (TN) is a former Bulldog commitment who is fresh off a multi-day visit to Oregon. Now it’s Georgia’s turn to possibly gain some momentum in his recruitment. Curtis and his family are no strangers to Athens and will be back in town for an all-important unofficial visit.

Curtis will be in Eugene for his official visit to Oregon the weekend of June 6th and will take his official visit to Georgia the weekend of June 13th. This will be a tough battle, but the Bulldogs will be rolling out the red carpet to get the elite quarterback back on the commit list. He’s ranked as the No. 1 QB prospect and the No. 5 overall prospect in the country for the 2026 class.

DON’T FORGET YOUR FANDUEL BETS!!

According to FanDuel, the Oklahoma City Thunder have +185 odds to win the 2025 NBA Finals this summer.

Dawg Post also learned this week that Oklahoma Sooners quarterback commitment Jaden O'Neal‍ was in Athens on Tuesday to check out Georgia’s first spring practice. Sources say O’Neal is firm in his Oklahoma visit and even transferred from Narbonne (CA) to Mustang (OK) in Oklahoma City for his senior season. Still, after a visit to Georgia, O’Neal is someone Georgia fans need to keep on their radar. However, sources say it will be tough to flip him away from the Sooners.

A new quarterback target that could easily be trending Georgia’s way is four-star Bowe Bentley‍. The Celina (TX) star was offered by Georgia last week and we’ve confirmed that he’s now planned a visit to Athens to watch the Bulldogs practice on March 20th. Sources say Oklahoma has been the team pushing hardest for the state-champion quarterback, but with O’Neal already on board, many feel Bentley will look elsewhere to be the only quarterback a team signs in the 2026 class. He also plans to visit LSU, Ohio State, Florida State, and Georgia Tech before the month is over.

Ranked as the No.10 QB prospect and the No. 111 overall prospect in the country, Bentley is a 6-foot-2 200-pounder coming off a giant junior season where he led his team to an undefeated 16-0 season that ended in a state championship. Bentley led the way throwing for 3,330 yards and 47 touchdown passes while running for 933 yards and 16 more scores. With Bentley scheduling a spring visit, he now becomes a quarterback to keep a close eye on moving forward.

Another out-of-state quarterback to know is four-star Landon Duckworth‍. The promising dual-threat passer out of Jackson (AL) was exceptional as a junior last fall as he led his small-town Alabama team to a state championship after throwing for 3,439 passing yards and 39 touchdowns to go along with 648 rushing yards and 12 more touchdowns on the ground. He accounted for 4,87 total yards and 51 total touchdowns on the season. The 6-foot-3 190-pounder earned an offer from the Bulldogs back on January 8th and has scheduled an official visit to Georgia for the weekend of May 30th. He’s also take official visits to South Carolina the weekend of June 6th, where he was previously committed, Florida State on June 13th and Ole Miss on June 20th. He’s ranked as the No. 6 QB prospect and the No. 53 overall prospect in the country.
