ATHENS - The month of July is here which means we’re just two long months away from Georgia Bulldog football.

The Dawgs are hoping to run wild on the gridiron this fall and have two impressive running backs on the commit list in the 2027 class.

Here’s a look at Georgia’s two current running back commitments...

First there’s five-star Kemon Spell‍. Georgia’s highest-ranked commitment from McKeesport (PA) checks all the boxes at running back at 5-foot-10 205-pounds. He’s a tackle-breaking machine with natural speed, elusiveness, and the ability to score anytime he has the ball. He’s a tremendous overall athlete and a natural runner who should compete for snaps as a freshman down the road.

The word “elite” gets thrown around too often these days, but make no mistake, Spell is without a doubt an elite running back prospect. He’s extremely talented, he’s got a muscular build, and brings eye-opening speed for a 200+ pound running back. He’s also coming off an incredibly productive junior season where he ran wild on a weekly basis, totaling 1,755 rushing yards and 28 touchdowns while also making plays in the passing game, on special teams, and on defense.

After signing just one running back in the 2026 class, Bulldog assistant Josh Crawford swung for the fences with Spell and knocked it out of the park.

Spell is ranked as the No. 1 RB prospect and the No. 7 overall prospect in the country in the 2027 class.

According to FanDuel, the Connecticut Huskies have +1200 odds to win the national championship next season.

Then there’s in-state back Noah Parker‍. One of the top running back prospects in Georgia, Parker is a bowling ball of a back who can run through defenders pick up tough yards in the trenches.

He’s ranked as a three-star back at the moment, but when you turn on the tape, you see a physical back with deceptive speed and big-play ability. The Macon County (GA) back is coming off a fantastic junior season for the Bulldogs where he ran for over 1,300 yards and 19 touchdowns. Parker averaged seven yards per carry and hit the 100-yard mark eight times last fall. 

Parker is tough to wrap up, shows good vision, and can burst through a hole quicker than most at his size. He’s a down-hill back who can bounce off defenders while having enough speed to ru away from defensive backs down the field. Overall, Parker’s size, productivity, and toughness made him an easy take for Josh Crawford and the Georgia staff.

Parker is ranked as the No. 64 RB and the No. 812 overall prospect in the country.
