Important yardstick game for the Dawgs tonight.

I've seen Tech in person once and was not impressed. They really only have 2 guys who can score a little; they aren't deep; former Dawg Howard is no post presence. Bridges should have his way down low. We should be able to solve their 1-3-1 zone with a little shooting and some quick ball movement. This is a game we need to win.

Monk, I saw that Moncrieffe and Oquendo are likely still out. I also saw Anselem, Roberts, and possibly others are sick. Any idea who is not going to play tonight? Would really like to be as close to full squad as possible vs the jackets.

Sorry, I just saw your question. Looks like Lindsay and Juice might have been hit by the flu bug that is plaguing the team. It's a good thing we are shooting well, because we are turning it over and giving up way too many rebounds. Still, we have a lead at the half. Our zone defense is giving Tech fits so far.

Just an absolutely awful charging call on Roberts at the end. But we really just gave this one away. Poor FT shooting, poor rebounding and turnovers, turnovers, turnovers.... What kind of inbounds pass was that from our friggin' PG?

Agreed it was a bad pass, but it was also a poor job of everyone else getting open.

We definitely have that game away. Very disappointing.

Very winnable game. That late shot off a set play by Tech was the same play they ran against GSU. We should have scouted that. We had a small guard on Kelly, who can get a shot off against smaller guys. He just came down the lane and went one on one. Same play exactly. We defended it very poorly. We should have denied him the ball, guarded him with a bigger guy and maybe doubled him to make him give it up.

We win this game if we shoot our FTs better, if we rebound better and if we just don't turn the damn ball over. Sure, the players have to get open, but the design of the play has to be such that someone IS open. Or Roberts could have hit it off the guy guarding the inbounds pass to try to get a 2nd chance. His pass was horrible. I want guys coming to the basket, not running away from it. Gotta design a better play than that.

Agree with everything except on that inbounds play, there was no one guarding the inbounder, so Roberts couldn't have thrown it off of him.

I might be wrong, but I thought we had shot free throws well all season. Last night wasn't very good though. Idk what the final percentage ended up being but the ones that were missed were at crucial times.

I couldn't remember about the inbounder honestly, but I couldn't figure out what we were trying to do there. We needed a better play. That's why you try to have that 1 extra timeout to use in a situation like that. And we have shot FTs well this year. I think we were 11-18 last night with a number of big misses.

On Tech's winning shot, it would have been nice to have Juice to defend him instead of being at home sick. Would have made a difference. Both he and Lindsay would have helped on the boards, as well.

And the officials did us no favors last night either. Some really bogus calls.
