Fairburn, GA - Back in October, right before the Georgia Bulldogs took the field to take on Alabama, Kirby Smart landed a commitment from four-star offensive tackle, Kelsey Adams‍.

The big, athletic tackle is just the latest Langston Hughes standout to commit to Georgia and had a lot to say to Dawg Post about his current commitment to Bulldogs.

After taking visits to LSU, Mississippi State and Georgia Tech, the dominant 6-foot-6 315-pounder said he’s still firmly committed to Georgia as he prepares to take his official visits this summer.

On committing to Georgia in October...

“It felt good. I committed that before the Alabama game. The big environment was tough to beat. I brought my grandma that was a big part of it. We talked in the office and that's when I committed in front of Coach Searels. I'm still talking to him and he shows up every now and then. Offensive coordinator Mike Bobo and Coach Phil Phil Rauscher came up yesterday talking to me about me coming up again on my official visit on May 29th. Coach Phil and I talk every now and then too. About every week, just checking off on me and stuff like that.”

On the Langston to Athens theme...

“Yeah coach Smart has a thing with Langston Hughes. He’s had about three guys up there from Langston. Every time we pull up, he'll say “Langston’s in the house”. He said it about three times by the time we've been up there.”

DON’T FORGET YOUR FANDUEL BETS!!

According to FanDuel, the Denver Broncos have +210 odds to win the AFC West next year.

On how involved Smart is in his recruitment..

“I hear from him every time I'm up there. He's the head coach so he gotta be part of your recruitment. You’re going to give it your all every day, especislly with coach Smart. When he’s on a hot mic, it's over. He’s going to let you know if you if you slacking or not.”

On his friendships with Dontrell Glover...

“Me and Danny talk about every week. Before I committed he just kept telling me to come on home. They wanted me bad and kept telling me to commit. It's time to commit.”

On official visit plans...

“I’ll be at Georgia the weekend of May 29th. I’ll take an official visit to LSU the weekend of June 5th and then I’ll take one to Mississippi State June 13th. I already took my official visit to Georgia Tech. It went well. It opened up my eyes a little bit now.”

On what he likes most about Coach Rauscher?

“He’s a big family guy. That was the first thing he talked about in the meeting. Then it was straight business. He told me hey, coach Searels recruited you and the expectation isn’t changing.”
