Our position in comparison to everyone else says a lot about the priorities of our administration. You get what you pay for.

It's why I give Crean a bit of a pass.

Our administration sucks, our facilities suck, our history sucks.

We've consistently been out recruited by just about every SEC team which won't change until the first two problems are addressed.

I don't agree that our facilities suck. They did in the past, but not now. I agree on your other points. We just have never prioritized basketball. When you have our history, and you want to win, you gotta allow your coach to spend more in recruiting to pull together a winning roster. Maybe last year was an outlier with COVID affecting everyone's travel, but I doubt it. When you have our lack of winning culture, you have to do more to make up for it.

If UGA Men's Basketball was allowed to spend the same amount it brought in as revenue (i.e., $10,693,803 in FY2019 [pre-COVID-19 shutdown]), then the Hoop Dawgs' funding would rank #25 in NCAA Division I (compared to current #63). UGA's athletic department would then break even on the program rather than profit from it.
