Eddie Gran offered OC job at Georgia
By Matt Jones on January 10th, 2019 @ 3:27pm

A source tells KSR that UK Offensive Coordinator Eddie Gran was offered the position of Offensive Coordinator at Georgia under Kirby Smart in the last 24 hours. Smart has offered Gran total control of the Offense and a salary of at least $1.1 million.

A decision has not yet been made and Gran is pondering the offer.

Gran and Kirby share the same agent, I bet Kirby did talk to him as I am sure they know each other. BUT, I find it hard to believe an OC at UK being offered the position at UGA would turn it down, the UK person that reported it is adamant that UGA offered-because that makes UK look good and UGA look bad for getting spurned. With how tight the search for first DC and now OC has been-UGA beat guys and all that cover UGA on a daily basis don't have a clue what is going on, how does a guy at UK know this info for sure?? He doesn't. Kirby is NOT going to offer a position and there be in turning down in public-he will offer and the job will be accepted, and then it will leak to the press.

Look at the Chaney situation, there was smoke for a little while on that, but it wasn't coming from the UGA side. It was coming from UT, and it sounds like that one was UT offer, UGA matches, UT counter offer and UGA says thanks but no thanks.

FWIW, now there is rumor of Enos from Bama, QB coach potentially being linked to UGA as OC, this would make more sense to me since he was Kirby's first choice before Chaney when hired. He has also worked with Pittman before.
