I hear Ohio St is the front runner...with Gaskins leaving it might seem like a good place for him...but 'not so fast my friend...' As I pointed out on another thread, the Suckeyes have 3 high ranked Scholly QBs in the QB room even after Haskins leaves and another one on the way. So, 3 highschool studs that have a year of the playbook ahead of him if he shows up a month from now. Eh...I don't think so.
Meanwhile, we have Fromm and 3 walk-ons.
Florida St is the other place I've read, however, Francois apparently is coming back for his senior year, Hockman is a freshman and tomorrow they will sign Sam Howell, the #3 pro-style QB in the nation out of NC.
Meanwhile, we have Fromm and 3 walk-ons.
The only other name I've heard throw around is Florida. But really? Ol Franks seems to have risen from the ashes like the freakun Pheonix this season and now is a bonafida starter. Emory Jones is behind him. What part of that looks appealing?
Meanwhile, we have Fromm and 3 walk-ons.
I just think it's a bad decision.....you go to another high profile program and have to start all over learning the playbook...not to mention that there will be competition there, just like here. His only hope is to find a big school that is graduating their starter and hope he can come in and take the job, but that's a LOT easier said than done.
If the kid is smart, he'll stay put. I hope Fromm is healthy and stays for 4 years, but Fields is one injury away from being the starter for good. Ask Eason how quick that can happen. And if Fromm leaves next year, he'll have the job for 2 solid years. And if the coaches are smart, they'll figure out how to use him better this season, so maybe they'll stop all of this non-sense about putting him in for 2 snaps and taking him out. My wife knew that was a bad strategy.
If he leaves I wish him luck, but it just seems like the most illogical thing to do...but I'm not as smart as most of you guys....my doctorate is in Theology, not Footballology, so....give me some thoughts on this DP experts...??????
