What happened to them? Under CMR, they were frequent, leading to SoS' famous quip.

I know we had one for Patrick last season, but I don't recall any this year.

Maybe the Athens police have eased up? Maybe discipline overall is better? Maybe we are recruiting better players? Maybe Smart is better at laying things out?

When I watch Miami play this year, it's like deja vu for me.

I hate to speak ill of CMR, but this is a something notable I think.

Fwiw, my guess is freshman DB Tray Bishop is suspended (he hasn't played this season) following his 23 May 2018 arrest on Felony Eavesdropping/Surveillance charges.

In ~15 years under Coach Richt, 63 players were arrested which led to 65 player suspensions. In comparison, in ~3 years under Coach Smart, 12 players have been arrested a total of 15 times.

One thing Coach Smart has been able to accomplish was partnering w/ AD McGarity to modify UGA's Student-Athlete Handbook to reduce the mandatory suspensions/dismissals for drug & alcohol violations. If he hadn't, senior ILB Natrez Patrick would have been dismissed from the program following his third arrest following the 2017 SEC Championship game.

When it involves player injuries (e.g., Marshall Long, David Marshall, Monty Rice, Demetris Robertson) and suspensions, Coach Smart is much more discreet revealing that than his predecessor. From the Bill Belichick / Nick Saban book of coaching, it's better not to reveal it so that your opponents will waste valuable preparation time game planning for them.
