Is an injured Fromm better than a healthy Fields?

Yeah, I know he can still throw, but Auburn's weakness is their OL, not their DL. Yeah, our OL is playing pretty well, but I get this feeling that they're gonna have their hands full against an Auburn team that is coming with something to prove. Having our QB with limited mobility is NOT a good thing right about now. I wouldn't be surprised if Fields snaps didn't increase in practice this week...just a feelin.

That depends on how badly hurt he is of course. It may be only a bruise, not really any kind of sprain.

I hope Fields plays the entire 4th quarter and Fromm is smiling on the sideline.

But Auburn worries me. Stidham can have a good game obviously.

I have not heard Fromm is hurt, just read his thigh was wrapped but practiced fine. Bottom line is, Fromm needs to play against AU, because with our running game, our WR's should have a field day against the AU secondary and our backs/TE's should have a great time running against their LB's. The DL is a strength for them, some big boys there and experience-we need to have balance and right now, Fromm is the best to provide that. I do think MAYBE Fields will be part of the redzone going forward, I have been calling for that ALL YEAR-maybe the past two weeks getting stuffed at the goal will finally make the coaches at least think about Fields inside the 10.

Stidham is certainly capable if he has all day, which he did the first game we played them. Second game, Johnson was injured which helped but our D attacked that offense and Stidham played like crap. This year, AU OL is a shell of last years group, and they don't have a back as good as an injured Johnson, so I would imagine we will attack them again, sure hope so. Guys like Beal, Anderson, Cox, Grant and Walker should have big days playing against those jet sweeps and pressuring the QB.

AJC's Chip Towers yesterday:

"Sophomore Jake Fromm was limping noticeably on his right leg, which included a black wrap that started mid-shin and ran up above his knee."

Just read that AFD, after I posted I went to see if I could find anything-I had just seen the note about the wrap. I still think he will be fine but it certainly could allow Fields more reps this week which I don't think would be such a bad thing. It is a home game-which helps with crowd noise, and he got a good taste last week in an important game on the road. I could see him getting more and more reps this week in practice just in case.
