ATHENS - Another day another commitment for Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs.

And yes, it’s another three-star defensive lineman jumping on board for assistant Tray Scott.

After landing a commitment Monday night from three-star Marcellus Young-Casario‍, the Dawgs land another one from three-star Antwan McKoy‍.

On tape the big 6-foot-3 310-pounder from Saint Pauls (NC) plays with good leverage and consistently finds himself in the backfield. He’s naturally strong and heavier than most in the region who have to block him on Friday nights. He fires off the snap, plays with good pad level, and has no problem driving opposing linemen backwards, creating consistent chaos behind the line of scrimmage. He’s one of the top defensive line prospects in North Carolina who can clog the middle of the trenches while also providing some pass-rush.

Like Casario and Waylon Wooten‍, McKoy may have to wait and develop some over time, but he’s a promising defender with size, talent, and a bright future if he continues to progress properly over time.

McKoy is ranked as the No. 50 DL prospect and the No. 471 overall prospect in the country. He chose the Bulldogs today over South Carolina, N.C State, among others.

As a junior last fall McKoy made 39 tackles, 19 TFLs and four sacks.
