ATHENS - If you don’t know who Landon Ghea is, today you’re going to learn.
An elite in-state prospect, Ghea is the left tackle for the Milton Eagles with the potential to be one of the very best prospects across the country in the 2029 class.
Yes, Ghea is still a young freshman, but he has all the tools to be an elite left tackle at the Power Four level. Playing for one of the best high school programs in the country, the talented 6-foot-5 275-pounder started at left tackle as a freshman last season and held his own against quality defenders on a weekly basis.
The possible five-star already has a giant offer list and is a major target for Kirby Smart and the offensive staff.
Ghea was in Athens earlier this month and recapped his visit with Dawg Post.
“So obviously with Coach Phil being the OL coach it's definitely a little bit different now but he’s definitely intense in meetings and at practice”, Ghea told Dawg Post. “He really pushes the guys to be their best. He told me about Georgia and the standard that they are held to both at practice and off the field. It's definitely a special place.”

According to FanDuel, the Arizona Wildcats have +190 odds of winning the national championship.
“I was able to see some practice while I was there”, Ghea confirmed. “It’s just as intense as everyone says it is. 100%. Kirby is on the microphone and he’s pointing out everybody's mistakes. It pushes everybody. Zykie Hilton the freshman from Carrollton stood out. There was a lot of buzz. He looked really good. That's tough to do as a freshman coming in there like that. So now it's about building a relationship with coach Rauscher. That's the most important thing.”
Ghea also took recent visits to Florida and Tennessee with plans to visit Ohio State, Virginia Tech and Clemson.
He may be young, but make no mistake, Ghea’s a special talent. He’s big and strong, but he’s also mobile, tough, and one of the hardest-working freshmen you’ll find across the country. He has everything college coaches look for, and as good as he was as a freshman, Ghea will only get better and better over time. Don’t be surprised if he makes a push as the No. 1 overall prospect in the country for the 2029 class.
Expect the Georgia Bulldogs to be firmly in the race throughout Ghea’s recruitment over the next three years.
