ATHENS - Once again, Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs hosted several of the nation's top prospects in Athens during another major recruiting weekend.
Five star running back commit Kemon Spell was back in town and had his recruiting hat on tight. A Pennsylvania native looking to bring others with him to Athens, Spell is the number one running back prospect in the country and one of the early leaders for Georgia’s 2027 class.
While in town, Spell made sure to spend plenty of time with another Pennsylvania native in four-star receiver, Khalil Taylor. Ranked as the No. 13 WR prospect and the No. 73 overall prospect in the country, the Pine-Richland (PA) wideout was back in Athens this weekend for another visit. Taylor has previously told Dawg Post that he has a “great” relationship with Bulldog assistant James Coley and plans to be back in Athens once again for an official visit down the road.
Spell had some fun on Twitter, letting his followers know Taylor will be joining him in Athens.
Spell did the same thing after four-star offensive line target Jimmy Kalis made it way to Athens.
“He will be at UGA with me next year, bringing that PA ball to Athens.”
Kalis was in Athens again with family and has always been high on Georgia since receiving an offer back in February of 2025.
“I know Georgia produces dominant and talented offensive linemen”, Kalis previously told Dawg Post. He’s currently ranked as the No. 21 OT prospect and the No. 234 overall prospect in the country.
Then there’s four-star QB Peter Bourque. Another top target from the Northeast, Bourque made his second visit to Athens within the past month and spent time with both Spell and Taylor during his visit. The former Michigan commitment is high on Georgia but the Dawgs will have to keep fighting off the Wolverines and Nittany Lions for the No. 6 QB prospect in the country.
As a junior last season, leading his team to a state championship, the 6-foot-4 220-pounder was 131/207 (63.5%) for 2,241 yards and 33 touchdowns. He also ran the ball 80 times for 688 yards.
