ATHENS - After signing five defensive linemen in the 2026 class, Georgia Bulldog defensive line coach Tray Scott is looking to re-load in the current 2027 cycle.
Here are some of the latest notes related to Georgia defensive line recruiting...
A four-star defensive tackle from Birmingham, Alabama to know about is Karlos May, a big 6-foot-4 305-pounder from Ramsay High. May earned an offer from Georgia last summer and plans to be in Athens for his official visit the weekend of June 5th.
As a junior last fall May made 43 tackles, eight TFLs and four sacks to go along with two INTs. He’s current ranked as the No. 38 DL prospect in the country for the 2027 class.
Earlier this month Scott and the defensive staff extended an offer to Chicago native, Brayden Parks. The giant 6-foot-3 300-pound interior defensive lineman is one of the top defenders in Illinois who saw big offers come his way this month from Georgia and Florida.
Parks is physically gifted with above-average burst and quickness for his size. He plays hard, can close running lanes, and has no problem attacking the quarterback from the inside. The Brother Rice (IL) standout was consistently disruptive last season and is someone Georgia fans should keep an eye on moving forward.
As a junior last fall Parks made 61 tackles, 23 TFLs, 7.5 sacks, five PBUs, two forced fumbles and 30 more QB pressures. He’s ranked as the No. 26 DL prospect and the No. 10 prospect in Illinois.
Another new defensive line target to know about in Chicago is David Folorunsho. A big, powerful defensive end who fires off the ball and creates havoc in the backfield, Folorunsho is a physically-gifted 6-foot-4 270-pound defender who has seen his recruitment take off over the last several weeks. The promising St. Patrick (IL) standout recently earned offers from Georgia, LSU, Notre Dame, Florida, among others over the last four weeks.
“When I got the offer from Georgia I was honestly fired up. That’s been a dream school of mine, so it was a surreal moment. I’ve always respected how physical they play and how they develop guys in the trenches, so it meant a lot.”
