ATHENS - A major Georgia Bulldog linebacker target has locked in an official visit to Athens.

That would South Paulding (GA) standout, Joakim Gouda‍.

One of the fastest-rising linebackers across the country in the 2027 class, Gouda is a 6-foot-3 225-pound tackling machine from Douglasville who saw his recruitment take off in January. He’s quickly climbed Georgia’s board this winter and now the impressive junior has scheduled his official visit to Georgia the weekend of May 31st.

Gouda also plans to take an official visit to Florida (June 4th) Texas (June 12th), and Auburn (June 19th).

Gouda made 100 total tackles, two sacks and one forced fumble.

According to FanDuel, the Texas Longhorns have +700 odds to win the national championship next season.

A new wide receiver who locked in an official visit is Port Charlotte (FL) standout, Elias Pearl‍.

The speedy, electric pass-catcher caught 69 passes for a school-record 1,052 yards last season with 26 total touchdowns. He hauled in 14 receiving touchdowns while running for 12 more. He’s one of the more productive playmakers in Florida who will likely see his ranking increase more and more over time.

Pearl’s stock has been soaring on the recruiting trail and he has quickly climbed up Georgia’s board after earning an offer back in late January. Now, Pearl plans to be in Athens for his official visit the weekend of June 5th.

“What stood out about Coach Kirby and the staff is how much they care  about student athlete development! What makes UGA special is the family feeling and the history of success.”

Another Florida pass-catcher who recently locked in a Georgia official visit is Miami commitment Ah’Mare Stevens. The 5-foot-11 165-pounder out of Chaminade-Prep in South Florida plans to be in Athens for his official visit the weekend of June 5th.

Stevens earned an offer from the Bulldogs in late January and made sure to tell Dawg Post all about it.

“I was speechless. I had to look at my phone again to read it over. I held my smile in then it just came out. Its a great program and there are always first-round picks coming from UGA.”
