ATHENS - The recruiting updates continue to roll on Dawg Post.
As you know by now, Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs had some of their biggest 2027 and 2028 targets and commitments on campus over the weekend.
The Dawgs landed five-star running back Kemon Spell on Monday, and sources say the Dawgs are sitting in an excellent position for many others at the moment.
One recent visitor extremely high on Georgia right now is four-star safety Jayden Aparicio-Bailey. An Alabama native from Prattville, Aparicio-Bailey is a rangy, sure-tackling safety who made play after play on both sides of the ball last season as a junior.
The 6-foot-2 180-pounder had a lot to say after his recent visit to Athens.
DON’T FORGET YOUR FANDUEL BETS!!
According to FanDuel, New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson has +3000 odds to win Super Bowl MVP this weekend.
“Coach Kirby Smart is super loved by my family”, Aparicio-Bailey told Dawg Post. “He’s a good person off the field but will also get on you on the field to help your development!! UGA is the standard and that’s what makes them special!!”
As a player, there’s a lot to like about what Aparicio-Bailey brings to the table. He plays fast, fearless, and has a nose for the football in coverage. He plays the run well and has no problem making a big, secure tackle in the open field. His lengthy frame allows him to break up passes down the field and his physical style of play is something the Georgia staff looks for.
As a junior last season at Oak Mountain, Aparicio-Bailey made 40 tackles and four INTs. He broke up four more passes in coverage and forced one fumble.
The four-star got in-home visits in January from Georgia, Ohio State, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Auburn, Texas, Florida, Indiana and Alabama. Before taking a visit to Georgia this past weekend, Bailey was in Gainesville on a visit to Florida.
There’s a long way to go, but this playmaking safety from Alabama is a prospect Georgia fans need to know about moving forward.
