ATHENS - As we approach a massive Georgia Bulldog recruiting weekend, Kirby Smart and his staff are ending the week strong, hitting the recruiting trail hard across the country.

Offers are flying out of Athens and Dawg Post gives the latest on several new prospects that Georgia fans need to keep an eye on...

While the Dawgs have No. 1 QB Jayden Wade‍ committed in the 2028 class, Mike Bobo is still keeping his options open in the current 2027 cycle. This week Bobo offered fast-rising quarterback Davin Davidson‍, a big 6-foot-6 215-pound junior from Cardinal Mooney High School in Sarasota, Florida.

Leading his team to the 2A state championship down in Florida, Davidson threw for 2,392 yards and 23 touchdowns, completing 65% of his passes along the way.

His junior tape shows a big, strong-armed kid with lots of raw potential. He’s big, he can get physical yards in the run game, and has natural arm talent, flicking the ball down the field with ease. He also showed the ability to push touch of deeper passes down the sideline. His recruitment is soaring right now and more major offers will likely come his way soon.

DON’T FORGET YOUR FANDUEL BETS!!

According to FanDuel, Seattle Seahawks WR Cooper Kupp has +1300 odds to score the first touchdown.

A new name to know in the North Georgia mountains is Rabun-Gap defensive tackle Isaac Kalubi Lukuni. A native of Ontario, Canada, Lukuni moved down to Georgia last fall and completely dominated throughout the 2025 season. Just a sophomore, Lukuni stands at 6-foot-3 280-pounds and lived in the backfield all season long with 73 tackles, 24 TFLs and 15 sacks.

Now, he holds an offer from Georgia.

“I was shocked when I first received the offer and later on I was filled with excitement to have been offered by them. I know that Georgia is one of the best schools for development and offers great coaching along with great academics.”

On the offensive line, it appears the Bulldogs are still hard after four-star  Jackson Roper‍ after meeting with new Georgia offensive line coach Phil Rauscher. Ranked as the No. 1 player in Colorado and the No. 14 interior OL prospect in the 2027 class, Roper is a physical 6-foot-4 290-pounder who was a pancake machine at left tackle last season as a junior. He brings a muscular build, but is still light on his feet and shined both in the run game and in pass protection.

“I’ve been talking with Georgia since the start of my junior season back in August. It’s still awesome to think I have an offer to compete Between the Hedges! I know Georgia’s known for being physical up front and dominating the line of scrimmage.  This is exactly the kind of mentality that fits my game and I’m looking forward to learning more.”
