ATHENS - In the world of recruiting, things can change quickly. Georgia Bulldog fans know that as well as anyone.

However, there’s one current commitment that Georgia fans should have reason to worry about.

That would be 2028 tight end commit, Asa Wall‍. Sure he’s young, but he’s a Georgia legacy from Milledgeville who can’t wait to be a Bulldog one day.

The son of former Bulldog fullback and John Milledge Academy head coach JT Wall, Asa is a dominant tight end/linebacker who is easily one of the top 2028 overall athletes across the South.

Wall committed to play for Todd Hartley and the Dawgs back on October 19th and has been locked in ever since. The big 6-foot-3 240-pounder was back in Athens over the weekend and broke down his visit with Dawg Post.

“Coach Smart is high on energy and wants everything out of you”, Wall told Dawg Post. “The staff is great. They know everything and everyone so if you need something they’re always there to help. UGA is home and if you want to be developed and win, UGA is the place.”

DON’T FORGET YOUR FANDUEL BETS!!

According to FanDuel, Heisman Trophy winner Fernando Mendoza has -7000 odds to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

A do-it-all athlete who lines up all over the field and can make an impact in several different ways, Wall can line up as a traditional tight end, in the backfield as an H-back, or out on the perimeter for his John Milledge team.

He can carry the ball, he’s a weapon in the screen game, and has enough speed to challenge defenses vertically. He’s a versatile, athletic, natural playmaker that the Georgia staff can great creative with.

As a sophomore last season, Wall dominated as a pass-catching tight end, hauling in 47 passes for 944 yards and 10 touchdowns. Defensively, Wall secured 96 tackles with 12 TFLs and five sacks. As good as he was last season, Wall is expected to be even better as a junior next fall.

Wall is currently ranked as the No. 9 TE and the No.218 overall prospect in the 2028 class.
