Kirby Smart, UGA Football Host Another Giant Group Of Official Visitors
Act now and get three months of Dawg Post for the price of one
ATHENS - After a giant week on the recruiting trail for Kirby Smart and UGA football, the Dawgs plan on hosting another group of impressive visitors this upcoming weekend.
Here’s who Dawg Post is expecting in town for an official visit...
5-star RB Savion Hiter - Louisa County (VA)
The No. 1 RB prospect in the country plans on being in Athens this weekend for his big official visit. However, sources say that Georgia has plenty of ground to make up. He was recently in Knoxville for an unofficial visit and is coming off an official visit to Ohio State. The Michigan Wolverines are also a major team in the mix for the elite running back. Right now, sources say Tennessee and Michigan are the two teams trending. Georgia’s still in the mix here, but they need this visit to go extremely well to get back towards the top of his list. Expect Josh Crawford and Kirby Smart to roll out the red carpet for this dynamic, home-run hitting tailback.
4-star OT Ekene Ogboko - South Garner (NC)
One of the nation’s top offensive tackle prospects, Ogboko is a major target for assistant Stacy Searles who has family connections to Georgia. His older brother is Bulldog defensive lineman Nnamdi Ogboko, and the Georgia staff is hoping the younger Ogboko joins him in Athens. The powerful 6-foot-6 285-pounder is no stranger to Athens and was in town in April to take in Georgia’s G-Day scrimmage. He took an official visit to Florida in mid-May, was at Clemson this past weekend, and will be in Athens this weekend before taking official visits to Ohio State and Notre Dame. He’s ranked as the No.6 OT prospect and the No. 68 overall prospect in the country.
DON’T FORGET YOUR FANDUEL BETS!!
According to FanDuel, the Atlanta Falcons have +200 odds to win 10 or more games next season.
4-star OL Graham Houston - Buford (GA)
Georgia’s lone offensive line commitment, Houston is a big 6-foot-5 305-pound guard who committed to Georgia back on May 1st. He was outstanding at left tackle for the Buford Wolves last fall showing good footwork, a balanced base, and a mean streak. He plays with good pad level, he’s fundamentally sound in the run game, and protected the quarterback consistently all year long. He’s ranked as the No. 23 interior offensive line prospect and the No. 290 overall prospect in the country.
4-star EDGE Dre Quinn - Buford (GA)
An impressive EDGE defender who just made the switch from GAC to Buford, Quinn is a promising pass-rusher with length, burst, and big-play ability. He didn’t exactly light up the stat sheet last year, but when you turn on the film, his talent stands out quickly. The big 6-foot-4 220-pounder is coming off a recent official visit to Clemson and sources say the Tigers are the team to beat. However, don’t rule out the in-state Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets either. We’ll see if Georgia turns up the heat and starts to make Quinn a major focus during his official visit and moving forward. He’s ranked as the No. 30 EDGE defender and the No. 273 overall prospect in the 2026 class.
4-star CB Caden Harris - Haywood (TN)
A current Vanderbilt commitment and one of the top overall prospects in Tennessee, Harris is an impressive cornerback prospect at 6-foot-0 170-pounds who will give Georgia a strong look this weekend during his official visit. He committed to the ‘Dores at the end of April but has always been high on the Georgia football program. The Bulldogs just added a major cornerback commitment from four-star Justice Fitzpatrick, but Harris is someone they’ve liked for a while now. Harris is currently ranked as the No. 12 CB prospect and the No. 83 overall prospect in the country.
4-star DB Tamarion Watkins - Northwestern (SC)
A long, athletic safety prospect that has had this visit set up for months now, Watkins was in town for Georgia’s G-Day scrimmage and has always been high on the Bulldog program. However, the Bulldogs already have three safeties on the commit list in four-star Zechariah Fort, four-star Jordan Smith, and three-star Kealan Jones. If the staff decides to take a fourth, Watkins is one to keep a close eye on. Right now, sources say the South Carolina Gamecocks are the clear team to beat. The 6-foot-4 200-pounder made 75 tackles last season with eight TFLs, 2.5 sacks and three INTs. He’s ranked as the No. 33 safety prospect and the No. 331 overall prospect in the country for the 2026 class.
3-star LB Kenneth Goodwin - Inglewood (CA)
Glenn Schumann has the Bulldogs in a great position for several linebackers right now, but another one to keep an eye on is California native, Kenneth Goodwin. The 6-foot-2 205-pounder earned an offer from the Dawgs in June of 2024 and has been to Athens twice so far this year. He was in town on February 1st and was back to take in a spring practice in late March. He’s very familiar with Athens and has always spoke highly of the Georgia program in the past. Now, he plans to be back for his big official visit. If he gets the green light to jump on board, a commitment would not be surprising. He’s ranked as the No. 28 LB prospect and the No. 364 overall prospect in the country.
