CARTERSVILLE - If you still don’t know much about Georgia Bulldog commitment Brady Marchese‍, today is the day you’re going to learn.

After signing an outstanding wide receiver class in 2025, Bulldog assistant James Coley landed a commitment from promising three-star this spring. He’s a speedy wideout who is one of the best across Georgia in the 2026 class and someone Georgia fans should be excited about.

The 6-foot-1 195-pounder is coming off a terrific junior season for the mighty Cartersville Purple Hurricanes, catching 44 passes for 1,051 yards and 11 touchdowns. Now, this Italian is ready to make his mark in Athens.

How did Marchese react to his original Georgia offer? Why did he jump on board? What are his strengths? He broke it all down with Dawg Post...

When and how did the Georgia offer go down?

“My offer came back in January”, Marchese said. “Coach Coley drove over here and told me I’d have some good news coming soon. Then Coach Kirby Smart flew here with the helicopter and I got the good news that day. It was surreal. It obviously meant a lot.”

When did Marchese decide he wanted to “Commit to the G”

“When I went up there on a visit and watched them practice, that what pushed me to a commitment. Just the way they do things. I was up in Coach Kirby’s office and he asked me what it would take to commit and I just told him I was all in. Kirby and I hugged instantly and we did the same with coach Coley. They were pretty happy about it.”

DON’T FORGET YOUR FANDUEL BETS!!

According to FanDuel, the New York Knicks are 6-point favorites to beat the Indiana Pacers in Game Two of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals.

What stood out the most James Coley and Kirby Smart?

“I just love the way Coach Coley gets after practice and the way he pushed everyone. He pushes guys to their limit and I like how he gets his guys into the league. That was the biggest thing for sure. Coach Smart gets after it like nobody else. He’s so intense during the practices. Nobody else does it like he does.”

What led to Marchese’s breakout junior season?

“I just kept my head on right. I’ve always been overlooked and I’ve used it as fuel. I just let my play speak for itself. I still play with a chip on my shoulder every day.”

What are his biggest strengths?

“I’d say my biggest strength is what I can do when I have the ball after the catch. I pride myself on my perimeter blocking as well. If I’m not getting the ball I’m putting someone in the dirt. Scoring touchdowns and catching the ball is obviously the most fun but I want to make a play with my blocking and drive a guy in the dirt when I get an opportunity to do so.”

The similarities between Georgia and Cartersville

“Going 100% every day. A lot of schools take days off but there are no days off here. Every day we go as hard as we can.”

On other visit plans

“I’m committed to Georgia but I still want to take a couple other visits and experience the process and see what others have to offer. I’m obviously locked in with Georgia and will take my official visit there the weekend of June 6th. I think I’ll take official visits to Michigan, Arizona State and South Carolina too but I don’t have specific dates yet.”
