ATHENS - As we’ve been reporting all week, Kirby Smart had some major targets in Athens this week to watch the Georgia Bulldogs kick off spring practice.
Dawg Post caught up with three different wide receiver targets who had a lot to say after watching the Bulldogs take the practice field this week.
The first receiver is one Dawg Post members should know all about by now. Of course, thats four-star Ryan Mosley. The two-way athlete out of Carrollton (GA) has been a longtime Bulldog target in the 2026 class and was back in Athens on Tuesday.
“Watching practice showed me you better go out there with everything you’ve got in you”, Mosely said. “They all push each other to be better. Georgia’s special because since I was a little boy I’ve always loved Georgia and to get the opportunity to play with them is a huge blessing.”
The playmaking 6-foot-2 205-pounder caught 55 passes as a junior for 848 yards and a team-leading 12 touchdowns. He’s ranked as the No. 11 ATH and the No. 217 overall prospect in the country.
DON’T FORGET YOUR FANDUEL BETS!!
According to FanDuel, the Los Angeles Lakers have +1700 odds to win the NBA Finals this summer.
A Middle Georgia wide receiver to know bout is Houston County (GA) star Kavon Conciauro. The fast-rising wideout saw his recruitment take off this winter and was in Athens on Thursday with Bears teammate and major Georgia Bulldog defensive back target Jordan Smith.
“I learned the way things are ran and the level of execution that is expected”, Conciauro said. “My biggest takeaway from the practice was the way players took criticism and applied it and responded in a positive way. For me what makes Georgia special is the way they develop guys, put their players in the best opportunities to succeed, and the way they have a standard that builds you on and off the field.”
The playmaking pass-catcher earned his Bulldog offer in mid-January and made sure to tell Dawg Post how much it meant to him.
“Being a kid who’s born and raised in Georgia it was a childhood dream come true!! I know they the UGA program is one of the most consistent and stable programs in the entire country that produce some of the best talent every year!”
Conciauro is unranked by the major outlets but will soon by ranked by Dawg Post has the No. 51 overall prospect in the state.
Then there’s promising out-of-state receiver, Corey Barber. One of the top playmakers in Alabama, this Spain Park (AL) pass-catcher was one of the more productive receivers across the state last season as he caught 73 passes for 1,424 yards and 17 touchdowns in 13 games.
Here’s what the 6-foot-1 180-pounder had to say about his recent visit...
“What I learned from watching practice today was that Coach Kirby Smart is about business”, Barber said. “He does not play games. He’s a great coach and his entire coaching staff matches his energy. My biggest takeaway from the visit would have to be just that the coaching is elite. If you want to be great and you aren’t afraid to be pushed and tested, Athens is one of those places to develop you. I also like their offense and their schemes to create opportunities for their receivers. What makes them special is their mix of everything. They have a nice facility, great coaching, and they have a winning pedigree.”
Barber is ranked as the No. 52 WR and the No. 306 overall prospect in the country.
