ATHENS - The quarterback hunt continues for Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs in the 2026 class.

After offering big-time Texas quarterback Bowe Bentley‍ last week, the Bulldogs offered a different type of quarterback in three-star Legend Bey‍.

Ranked as three-star athlete, Bey is coming off an incredibly productive 2024 season for North Forney (TX) where he threw for 1,444 yards and 13 touchdowns. His numbers through the air won’t excite many Georgia fans but his numbers on the ground certainly will. An explosive runner who can score from anywhere on the field, Bey ran for 1,912 yards and 28 touchdowns on the ground on his way to being named 10-6A offensive MVP.

He’s certainly not a traditional Georgia Bulldog quarterback target so there’s a good chance the Bulldogs will give the 5-foot-10 180-pounder a look at running back or in the secondary if he decided to play in Athens. He’s a natural athlete and a promising passer, so it’s easy to see why the Bulldogs pulled the trigger on an offer to one of the best pure athletes in Texas.

DON’T FORGET YOUR FANDUEL BETS!!

According to FanDuel, Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons has +750 odds to win NFL Defensive Player of the Year next season.

Bey made sure to tell Dawg Post how much his new Georgia offer meant to him.

“I was very excited and Blessed most of all! UGA has the best football program down south and always produce talent in the NFL.”

Before you turn on the tape, make sure you grab some popcorn. He brings impressive arm talent for his size and can push the ball down the field, but his ability to take off and run is what makes him special. He’s quick, agile, and simply electric with the ball in his hands. He can create when plays break down and is an elite runner in the open field. While he’s still developing as a passer, his natural athleticism and game-changing speed is easy to see. There’s no doubt he could be an impressive weapon on offense with the potential to turn into a reliable defensive back down the road.

Either way, it’s clear this dynamic athlete is someone Georgia fans should keep an eye on moving forward in the 2026 class.
