ATHENS - After signing an outstanding offensive line class in the 2024 cycle, Georgia Bulldog offensive line coach Stacy Searels is hitting the peach-state hard in the current 2025 class.

Searels and the Dawgs landed a commitment from four-star guard Mason Short‍, a former Alabama commitment, back on April 5th, and today they’ve landed a commitment from another in-state lineman who was also previously committed to the Tide.

That would be four-star interior lineman, Dontrell Glover‍.

The big, versatile lineman out of Langston Hughes (GA) is a multi-year starter for the Panthers who has had a brilliant high school career so far.

Glover is one of the state’s top offensive line prospects and gives Georgia another promising lineman with his best football ahead of him. He may not have ideal length measurables at around 6-foot-3, but he’s a solid 300+ pounds who moves well and has been a dependable player at left tackle for the last two seasons.

Why did Glover choose Georgia?

“I loved being in the environment. They let me know what they have set for me & it looks like greatness. I liked seeing how coach Searels’ offensive line plays and how many guys he’s produced over the years.”

What is Georgia getting in Glover?

They’re getting a tough, physical lineman who can play multiple positions on the offensive line.

Playing left tackle for Langston Hughes for the last two seasons, Glover dominated his side of the line of scrimmage and helped lead the Panthers to one of the best offensive seasons in Georgia high school football history when he was a sophomore.

Glover has tremendous lower-body strength and does a great job of playing with a strong, balanced base. He moves well and shows quick feet for his size, allowing him to pull in the run game and take on speedy pass-rushers on the edge. Whether he’s protecting the passer or mauling defenders in the run game, Glover brings his best on every play. He does a great job of playing with leverage, getting his hands underneath the pads of opposing defenders, allowing him to drive them backwards and into the ground.

He’s a bully, and his best football is way ahead of him. He’s gotten better and better by the year and it’s easy to see why he was a wanted man in Athens.

Searels decided to push for a commitment, and now they have it. Now, Glover gives Georgia an experienced lineman who will likely move inside to play guard, and possibly some center, when he gets to Athens. He brings a thick frame, plenty of muscle, and will provide quality depth until he’s ready to see the field. 

Glover is ranked as the No. 22 interior OL prospect, the No. 35 prospect in Georgia, and the No. 304 prospect in the country for the 2025 class.
