ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs wrapped up spring practice over the weekend with their annual G-Day scrimmage

Of course, major Georgia commitments are targets made their way to the Classic City to take in G-Day.

Two of the biggest stars in town were 5-star RB commit Kemon Spell‍ and 5-star DB commit Donte Wright‍. Dawg Post saw them both hanging out together pre-game in the stands before making their way down to the field.

Spell, the No. 1 RB prospect in the country, felt right at home Between the Hedges. The Pennsylvania native was all smiles, shaking hands and taking pictures with fans throughout pre-game warm ups. He was enjoying the day and felt like a celebrity walking around the sidelines. He also made sure to stop by and speak with Georgia’s other running back commitment, three-star Noah Parker.

While Spell appears to be 100% committed, five-star cornerback commitment Donte Wright still has his options open. While he’s still publicly committed to the Dawgs, Wright still has officials set up to Miami and Oregon as both schools are trying their hardest to flip the California cornerback. Getting Wright back in town was a very big deal and it looked like Wright was having a great time.

DON’T FORGET YOUR FANDUEL BETS!!

According to FanDuel, the Atlanta Falcons have +270 odds to win the NFC South next year.

Another major target in town was four-star Jaxon Dollar‍. Ranked as the No. 2 TE prospect in the country, sources say Dollar has moved to the top of Georgia’s tight end board over the last several weeks with four-star Brock Williams‍ trending elsewhere. Dollar was seen watching pre-game warm-ups closely. This was a business trip for Dollar who certainly looks the part physically. The multi-sport standout from North Carolina could be coming close to a commitment soon, and that could be good news for Todd Hartley and the Bulldogs. Notre Dame and Clemson are two other schools pushing hard for the No. 37 overall prospect.

As far as official visitors go, The Bulldogs had two offensive linemen in town for big weekend visits. Virginia native Carter Jones‍ made the trip down and was seen speaking with Kirby Smart during pre-game warm-ups. Smart took pictures with Jones and his entire family before walking around the field. Jones is listed at 6-foot-5 280-pounds and ranked as the No. 25 interior OL prospect and the No. 399 overall prospect in the country.

The other official visitor was three-star offensive lineman, Reis Russell‍. The 6-foot-3 295-pounder from Colorado is ranked as the No. 74 interior OL prospect and the No. 895 overall prospect in the nation for his class.

2028 TE Asa Wall‍ was also back in Athens to check out G-Day. The versatile, playmaking tight end from John Milledge (GA) in Milledgeville raved about his visit and explained why assistant Todd Hartley might be the best tight ends coach in college football.

“It was great seeing how much talent and how well coached this TE room is and it’s not just the catches it’s the blocks to.He expects the best and the most out of you an has personnel relationships with each player and he coaches hard.”
