ATHENS - Recruiting season is back in full swing now that the “quiet period” has started on the recruiting calendar.
Prospects can take on-campus visits, which means Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs will be hosting some of the nation’s top prospects over the next several weeks.
A new receiver target who plans to be in town next week is three-star, Eugene Hilton.
This fast-rising pass-catcher out of Zionsville (IN) earned an offer from Georgia back in January, and now he has plans to be in Athens soon.
“I’ll be at UGA the 14th of this month for a spring ball visit”, Hilton told Dawg Post. “What stands out the most is the foundation they’ve built being a tough, disciplined, and overall successful program. They compete nationally every year.”
The Indiana native caught 46 passes last year for 836 yards and 10 touchdowns. As a prospect, Hilton is one of the fastest and most explosive receivers in the state. He shows big-play ability with enough speed to outrun defenders. He’s also a weapon on special teams in the return game. He’s a pass-catcher to keep an eye on moving forward in the 2025 class.
New receivers coach James Coley has already started to build a strong bond with the promising receiver.
“Coach Coley is very familiar with me and my family”, Hilton said. “The way he’s making an emphasis and is genuinely looking forward to developing me as a player and person stands out the most. I like that he’s already having a connection with my family.”
Hilton will be in Athens on the same day as 5-star QB target Julian Lewis and 4-star ATH, Gerritt Kamp.
Hilton is one of the fastest-rising receivers in the Midwest and someone Georgia fans need to keep a close eye on.
