ATHENS - After a big month of January extending offers to prospects across the country, Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs staff will be hosting some top prospects on campus throughout March and into April.

One new linebacker target to know is IMG Academy (FL) standout, Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng‍.

A fast-reacting, hard-hitting linebacker who can play both inside and outside, this Virginia native earned an offer from Georgia back in January and sources say the Dawgs quickly jumped up his list of schools.

“I was most definitely excited after receiving an offer from Georgia”, Owusu-Boateng told Dawg Post. “I know about all the great linebackers they produce year in and year out. I know that the program has a strong foundation, and coaches who are willing to lead a group of men into success not just on the field but off as well.”

As a junior last fall, this promising prospect shined on a defense loaded with power five talent. He’s on the lighter side at 6-foot-2 210-pounds, but he runs well and plays at a high level. He roams the field and closes on the ball carrier in a hurry. He reads the play well and knows how to deliver a hard, technically sound tackle.

In just eight games last fall, Owusu-Boateng made 45 tackles, six TFLs, and one forced fumble. He was active, he was efficient, and the potential is easy to see. He’s one of the top linebacker prospects in the country, and the Dawgs have a chance to impress him on campus later this month.

“I would say UGA’s consistency to develop players stands out the most”, Owusu-Boateng told Dawg Post. “I like their brotherhood and their winning nature. I plan on visiting in March if I can.”

Owusu-Boateng is currently ranked as the No. 6 LB prospect, the No. 8 prospect in Florida, and the No. 61 overall prospect in the 2025 class.

The Bulldogs have one current linebacker commitment in Buford (GA) four-star, Jadon Perlotte‍. Other linebacker targets to know include five-star Zayden Walker‍, four-star Tavion Wallace‍, four-star Ty Jackson‍, four-star Tyler Lockhart‍, four-star Christian Gass‍, among others.
