ATHENS - After missing on 5-star QB Arch Manning to Texas, there’s a good chance that Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs decide not to take a signal-caller in the 2023 class.
That means they’ll likely take two in the 2024 class, and one QB target confirmed with Dawg Post that he plans to visit Athens later this fall.
That would be Avon Old Farms (CT) gunslinger, Ryan Puglisi.
An excellent baseball player as well, Puglisi is a strong-armed quarterback at 6-foot-3 205-pounds who earned offers from Alabama and Georgia back in mid-June after camping and throwing in front of the staffs.
Puglisi told Dawg Post this week that he’ll be visiting Georgia on October 15th when the Bulldogs take on Vanderbilt. He also said that he consistently hears from offensive coordinator Todd Monken and the Georgi staff.
“I have been talking to the whole staff regularly”, Puglisi said. “Coach Cooper, coach Monken, coach Smart, coach Faulkner and Cochran.”
“Monken and Faulkner always talk about how I would be a great fit for them”, Puglisi added. “I have a really strong arm and I am accurate so that’s why they feel it could work really well. Georgia scores, and they score a lot. That is a program I am very interested in and I can’t wait to continue my relationship with them.”

He may not have five-stars by his name, but sources say the Georgia staff is higher on him than most realize. He’s a smart kid who excels on the gridiron, the baseball diamond, and in the classroom.
As a passer, he shows good ball placement and throws a nice, catchable ball. He’s accurate down the field and can throw with some zip over the middle. He looks the part physically, stands tall in the pocket, and knows how to deliver a ball into tight windows. He’s also a good runner who can escape the pocket and make plays with his feet.
With Georgia likely needing to take two quarterbacks in the 2024 class, Puglisi is certainly one to keep an eye on this fall and beyond.
