Or Felton at the ribbon cutting for a $30m market leading practice facility complaining at that very moment to the media re lack of admin support for hoops.

We are in a mess because of 20 years of hiring coaches who couldn't recruit. Not because of the facility or the admin.

And White has to dig out of a hole caused by the worst roster in our history.

This is a hard job. Made harder by the arrogance and self preservation attempts of his predecessors. White needs time.

And the entire college athletics landscape has changed while we were just trying to start a business period. NIL, transfer free agency, exponential conference hoops competitiveness growth. We are a half mile behind trying to catch others running at a dead sprint. It'll come down to Jimmy's and Joe's - getting them and keeping them. White has to break the yearly roster recycle treadmill starting now. And recruit actual high school seniors.

Both you guys make great points. White has a hard job - a lot to do. Nobody should criticizing his 1st class and portal transfer class. I had someone telling me that he didn't like White because he didn't bring any players with him from UF and didn't bring his top assistant with him. That's just BS. We improved by 10 games over last season. We won a good bit more than 1 game in the SEC. Yes, we finished poorly, no doubt about it. But frankly, I blame the players, their poor play and their lack of heart for that. White has got to recruit both in HS and the portal. It's gonna take some time. I would like to see a bit of a change to the staff. We really need a top notch, aggressive recruiter on the staff. I think we will get a good portal class this year. I hear good things about our 2 current HS signees. We have needs at every position. I think several of our roster will hit the portal; I hope several of our roster will hit the portal. The only thing we can do is support White with NIL help. Everyone needs to donate to the collective and target giving to the basketball program.
