Best half of basketball I've seen from a uga team in a while. Both sides of the ball were outstanding. Rebounding was outstanding. 3 point shooting was good, and it's been a while since we've been able to say that.

Really good Dawg crowd down here. Worth being here just for the ever flapping St Joe's Hawk and there is a St Joe's fan that is bout the most insane fan I've ever seen. Just hilarious!!
Not a great 2nd half. Came out flat, but a win is a win. Interesting that Etter didn't play tonight. Thought he played well last game. Bridges seems to be relegated to the #3 post behind Moncrieffe and Anselem.
There was chatter before the game that Bridges might not play at all and if he did it would be limited minutes. UAB has one of the best backcourts in the country with pre-season All-American Jelly Walker and LSU transfer Eric Gaines. They're deep and very good inside as well with big time transfers Trey Jemison (Clemson) and KJ Buffen (Ole Miss) in their third year with Kennedy at UAB. They added ex MSt & Bama 7 footer Javian Davis who looked really good yesterday. Georgia will have to play an exceptional game to hang with the Blazers. The crowd will help… Georgia has the other schools greatly outnumbered. Great to see so many Dawgs in the arena last night. Could be a good one today.
Is bridges injured, in trouble, or just down on the depth chart now that Moncrieffe is back?
Didn't pick up what issue was… might be a little sick? He'll be needed today. UAB is big and talented inside.
I just think he's been totally unproductive all year. We were getting pushed around in the post yesterday and getting no offensive production there. Bridges played 4 minutes with 0 pts and 1 reb, if memory serves. He's not showing that he wants to play.REDdawg12 said:

We have to remember that Bridges, the season before he showed up in Athens, wasn't even a starter for a very average mid-major, UIC.
I remember well, I undersold the hell out of Bridges (and most every other incoming transfer last year, then he averages 12.9 & 5.6 for us and looked pretty good doing it.

A lot of his game is lacking, very soft. Maybe CMW will light a fire and he can reach his full potential. Maybe last night was his awakening.
