I didn't get to go myself, but I've spoken with a couple of people who went. Unfortunately, they aren't exactly basketball aficionados, so the info I got was incomplete and not very detailed. I understand that Roberts looked good at PG and that Bridges looked really good in the post. That last bit jibes with what I had heard about summer workouts. And it matches what I would expect from Roberts. He should be our starting PG with Oquendo at the SG. Very athletic backcourt. I also heard that JAR shot well and that Holt, the Bama transfer, played well. Someone predicted they would both start, but I don't see that, as they basically play the same position. I heard that we are defending harder, which can come as no surprise. We HAVE to play harder on defense than under Crean; it would be difficult not to. It's still hard to predict a starting 5. The center and the backcourt are pretty easy. Not sure on the 2 forwards, assuming we go with a standard lineup. We need Ingram to get healthy. I think if healthy, he starts at one of the 2 spots. Where you put him will probably determine who starts at the other spot.

Good stuff! Much appreciated. I think this version of the Hoops Dawgs has a chance to be fun to watch - kind of like the current Falcons. May not win more than they lose, but appear well coached despite talent deficiencies and are at least competitive and entertaining to watch!

If our guys this year can be as successful and fun to watch as the Falcons have been so far, I will be a very happy fan. I have little doubt that this staff will be successful in (the near) future years.
