and just got their 1st actual recruit from Europe - Latvia - a 6'9" 180 lb F. Of course, none of us can really know anything about this guy. One must think he couldn't be that good, since he is just signing in June, and with Tech of all places. He did have an offer from Xavier at some point, although I can't tell if that was under Coach Steele or under the new coach, Miller. The kid clearly can't know much about Tech....

Yes, in his 1st class - Ignas Sargiunas from Lithuania. I don't recall any other offers the kid had. His biggest problem was that he was too slow to play in the SEC. He was in over his head. He transferred to Colo St. A bit of further research reveals the stated intent was for him to sit out '19-'20 and have 3 years left, but he never played a second for the Rams and apparently returned to Lithuania, where he is playing pro ball. Last year, he averaged 12.2 ppg and 3 apg for a team that was 3-26. Yuckkkkk....
