Not good news, though we do instantly solve our turnover problem. LOL We need to get a high level transfer PG or perhaps a reclassified incoming freshman. Just gotta wait and see how Crean handles it.

The NCAA better put a halt to all the transfers. I'm done with the NFL, NBA, and MLB.

I think this seals Crean's fate. While it may be "normal" for kids to transfer, not many teams are losing their best players. We just lost all of best players. All of them. Minus KD. Is he next?

This transfer thing has become a huge problem. No coach can manage a roster under these circumstances. You never know from day to day who is on your own team. You have to re-recruit your own players constantly, and you have to monitor the rosters of every team in the country to see who might transfer and who might improve your roster. It's insane.

Gross. As noted above, we are an outlier not in volume of transfers but quality (relative to our roster). I am not aware of a team that has lost 2 of its top players to transfer. Good chance it is top 3 before it is over. Johnson was the one heavily rumored to enter the portal, not Wheeler. Notably, it also puts us out of the running for Wheeler's younger brother. Decent chance that Wheeler is headed to Texas or A&M.

I wish Wheeler well on his next stop. Need more kids like him.

Strong, but factually incorrect statements.

While Fox did win 20 games multiple times, it was only 4 out of 9 yrs. Arguably during a down period for the conference.

Fox only got four guys to NBA in nine years. He recruited two of them. Not sure what his next recruiting class would have been, but it was not likely to be filled with four NBA guys. As I recall, we had commitments from King and Hagans before his firing. While Hagans made a brief appearance with Timberwolves last year, that is an n of 1.

We all know that Fox is doing a stellar job at California. Time to get rid of the Crean experiment, too

I'm not a fan of ex-players like JJ and Juwan dissing the program because Fox got his feelings hurt. I loved JJ's game fwiw. Foxy was a slow train to nowhere. He spent more time kissing the right asses than he did recruiting.
Juwan iyam stayed one year too long and long enough to get an advanced degree. The guy was a decent player, but could not hit a 3 which was what was supposed to be his game coming out of HS.
Say what you want about Crean, but if something or someone isn't working, he moves them out. Crean won't survive past next year if he doesn't get into the tournament, but it won't be because he is not trying.
