ATHENS - After multiple decommitments from Georgia’s class over the last couple of weeks, the Dawgs got some big news today with the commitment of three-star linebacker Temorris Campbell.
The 6-foot-1 210-pounder has been on Georgia’s radar for a while now but reported his offer just two days ago. Now, the Florida native at Miami Carroll (FL) has jumped on the opportunity and has committed to Glenn Schumann and the Bulldogs.
Campbell is ranked as a three-star prospect, but on film, it’s easy to see why the Bulldogs took his commitment. The South Florida defender plays with swagger, plays fast, and brings a physical presence to his defense. He reacts quickly against the run and knows how to leave a bruise when he meets the ball-carrier.
At Chaminade-Madonna (FL) last season, Campbell was a tackling machine, making 103 tackles, 10 TFLs and 3.5 sacks to go along with one INT, one forced fumble and another fumble recovery.
One of the top linebackers in the region last season, the quick-reacting linebacker has a nose for the football and constantly finds his way to the play. He takes good angles to the ball-carrier, wraps up properly, and can bring an intimidating presence when he steps on the field.
Overall, Campbell is a promising defender with raw talent and the potential to turn into a really nice player. He’s tough, productive, shows good instincts against the run, and clearly won over the Georgia staff during the evaluation process.
Campbell gives Glenn Schumann his first linebacker commitment in the 2027 class. Other linebackers to know moving forward include Jokaim Gouda, Jabois Smith, Ellis McGaskin, Noah Glover, among others.
Campbell is ranked as the No. 79 LB and the No. 901 overall prospect in the country for the 2027 class.
