Ok, I guess Notre Dame don't have to worry about it, and Clemson don't have much to worry about I guess if they end up playing a 4 loss Miami team....but, when we have to face off against Bama in the SECCG...uh, well, it's a whole nuther level of obsurdity. It's tough to play them when we're healthy, but this time of the year everyone is beaten up and tired. Now, a week after chasing around the stinkin RBs in Tech's ridiculous triple option, we're gonna have to square off against our ol nemisis, who is looking fairly formidable these days.
Is there another way? Should they have a rest week between the last regular season game and the Conference Championship games, just to let everybody rest up? What would that hurt?
Maybe the conference championship games need to be added to the playoffs somehow and make that round one or something? I dunno...just spit-balling...thoughts?

Final exams for UGA students are 6-12 December 2018. If the SEC Championship Game were slipped a week (i.e., to 8 December), then that would conflict w/ our football student-athletes preparing for the game and taking care of business in the classroom.

I'm not so worried about playing the week before the SECCG, I just hate playing Tech in that spot. They have not been in our conference for 54 years. Why do we treat them like an arch-rival when the game is insignificant if we win the game. I know, I know, if we lose it's horrible. I get what Dean was saying on his show about not moving Auburn, but it seems to me, our season should end with a conference game, preferably against an East rival. I don't know if that would be UT or SCarolina, but I think it sucks that the conference has no drama past early November. Television hates Georgia-Georgia Tech. I think they'd like it better to open the season.

F%%$ Bobby Dodd, Pepper Rogers, Bill Fulcher, Bill Curry, Dewberry and the refs who stole the games in 1998 and 1999. I could care less if ever play Tech again. If we do, I'd vote for one year in M-B and one year in Athens. Otherwise, I'd tell them to go jump off the Coca-Cola building.

Get ready Teddy....you're about to get attacked by some old timers on here...lol. I'm actually 48 years old about to be 49 and I can appreciate the Tech rivalry as much as anybody. Florida has and will always be my most hated team. The problem with Tech is, winning against them is not as GOOD as losing to them is BAD. Does that make sense? A win against them now is, 'Ho hum...another Tech win.' But we really gain nothing unless we're trying to impress the voters to move up for the playoffs, but we could do that against any team. If we lose to them however, it drops us in the polls....we have to put up with bunch of crap for a whole year....we risk injuring somebody before we have to go play Alabama in a freakin week!! I know we could get injured against anybody, but I'd be all for scheduling another cup cake. Take this year for instance....when we got some players still banged up. It'd be nice to play Rhode Island A&M and rest up some players before having to play in the SECCG the next week. Anyway, I'm kinda in the camp nowadays of, I would be alright with bumping them off the schedule. But I can tell ya, that's not gonna happen. Too much hate, too many old timer with too much donation money invested that want us to destroy them every year.
