Man, Mullen needs to humble this bunch of whining, pacifier-sucking players. So, another prison raping and another bunch of cry-baby Gator players talking about how they were the better team and they just gave the game away...waa, waa, waa.....

Even their stupid, goofball journalist Bianchi from the Orlando Sentinel is getting in on the act...

Gees....how pathetic. Show some maturity and at least wait a couple of weeks before coming out with an article like that, so that it doesn't reek of sour grapes! And somebody needs to tell this idiot that Fromm, Holloman and Swift....the three players that scorched them the most, are only SOPHOMORES! If thinks they are any where close to being in the same class as us, he needs to have his journalist license revoked.

I actually kinda like this though. Not because it's just great to hear a bunch of whining and crying from the Gator nation. It keeps the rivalry fires burning, even though we definitely seem to be on our way to owning the lizards for a good long while.

Darin-

While I agree with you, and this guy is a sunshine pumper, this is how MOST college beat writers write stories, EXCEPT our beat writers. I read the stuff after we lost by basically the same margin against LSU (at their place while UF has lost two games in their home state), and it was very negative, gloom and doom-and honestly, that is the mood we as fans were in after that loss. But perhaps that is just the difference between our program and thier program right now. They are excited about the future despite a 19 point loss to a bitter rival, our fans and beat writers are ready to throw Kirby/players off the bridge after our 20 point loss.

Bottom line is this, UF and their fans are not used to losing to us and they will pick and choose what info they wish to talk about when concerning the two programs. Dan Mullen has improved UF this year over last year-but is that really hard to do when the players pretty much quit last year on their coach-and he was fired after we drilled them. And to think UF is going to recruit to our level when Mullen has a history of average at best recruiting is pretty funny-and he even admits they are a couple recruiting classes behind-but doesn't seem to realize that we are not shutting down our recruiting operation to let UF catch up??

I like the fact our players and coaches take responsibility for losses and say hey we got beat and we need to get better-instead of saying we were the better team but didn't execute. There is a reason that the old UF AD Foley didn't want to hire Mullen after Urban left the program, or even after they fired Muschamp. Think about that, the guy that hired the two best coaches in UF history in football, and hired their best basketball and baseball coaches in their history, didn't hire Mullen TWO TIMES when he had the chance. Yet the current AD who was quoted in the story, came to UF from Miss State-so of course he LOVES Mullen since he was there with him.

I am not ready to say Kirby will turn this series into what Spurrier and Oscar Meyer did to us, he only 2-1, funny how it was shown that he is 2-0 against UF now-I am sure Kirby wouldn't mind forgetting his first season in Athens, but there is not doubt we will enter most every year from here on out having a talent advantage for sure. Mullen says they are young, check this out-they start 4 SR's on the OL, three TE's are SR's, all their WR's are JR's and who knows if they stick around to play another year with Franks, CeCe Jefferson and a DL are the only SR's I see on D but they have 5 JR's, some of which might go pro. I don't think they are nearly as YOUNG as we are.

Bianchi is such a ******. He also is a big defender of the UCF national championship claim last year. Ole Danny Boy is a perfect fit for the Gayturds. He makes cracks about a blind squirrel finding a nut (in reference to us winning the SEC last year) after the game on Saturday all he can talk about is how they didn't play well with no credit given to the team that they lost to (in his mind, the other team never beats them, they just don't execute the game plan). He has a little of the turkey neck mentality in that when he walks in the stadium, he believes that he is the smartest man in the stadium. He showed his arse at Vandy, he showed his arse on Saturday (and got a pe
nalty called on himself) and he is a grade A ******bag.

On a side note, apparently there is no love lost between CKS and Danny. At games end, as Kirby is starting to walk across the field he turns to his left to the state trooper and if you can read lips he says something followed by those MF'ers. Then when he sticks his hand out to Danny Boy there might have been a 2 second handshake and a small response.

man, I just watched that hand shake.....Mullens didn't say a stinkin word, he just shook and turned to the right off he went. It didn't look like it bothered KS too much.
I never liked Spurrier and still don't, but when they got their butts kicked, he didn't try to do a bunch of whining and making it look like they were still the better team....he gave credit where credit was due. This doesn't seem to be Dan's style. He's slowing creeping up my list of most hated coaches.

I didn't take umbrage at that article. It notes that the Dawgs have the better talent and Florida aims to neutralize that.

Darindawg,

Mullen knows what a big loss this was. He knows he's staring down the barrel of a 3 or 4 year losing streak at minimum with how young this Dawgs team is. Much of the strength of this gators team (Offensive line and D line) are Seniors with a LOT of experience. He needed this win to push recruiting and he knows they missed an important opportunity. I'm sure he's pissed. Only thing he can think to do is act like they are the better team and "beat themselves", when the reality was the "QB Guru" couldn't coach up Franks enough to ride the team's strengths. So a bunch of Freshmen and Sophomores beat his seniors by another wide margin... He better spend a little less time crowing and get on that recruiting trail... Sadly he will probably get a bit of a bump with FSU and Miami crashing and burning.

You're exactly right. Florida has two 5* players on their roster and both of them are very experienced seniors:

- OL Martez Ivey: started 39 of 44 games
- DL Cece Jefferson: started 23 of 43 games, 116 tackles, 31 TFL, 9.5 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 1 safety

As of today, the Gators 2019 recruiting class is ranked #23 nationally, #11 in the SEC, and they have no 5* commitments.

In comparison, UGA's 2019 recruiting class is ranked #4 nationally and #3 in the SEC despite losing two 5*s and two 4* commitments this month.
