Which SEC team is going to struggle out of the gate and get their NC aspirations dashed, and who rises to the occasion?

Bama vs Louisville - If ol Lamar was still around, this might be interesting, but without him?...eh, Bama rolls. 47-13

Miami vs LSU - Well, they looked a little like the MR that we all came to know and love last season....stomping Notre Dame one week and then losing to a 5-7 Pitt team a week later...ah, some things never change I guess. But wow, is that D gonna be good or what?! LB and Secondary might be the best in the nation...so I'm picking LSU to wear the SEC Embarrassment ribbon in week 1...UM 38 LSU 20

Auburn vs Washington - This will be a shootout with two awesome QBs squaring off. But the Auby D will do just enough in a wild one. Barn 52 Huskies 49

Clem's-sons vs GAGgies - This is actually week 2, but should be a real test for ol Jimbo. I think he fails this test. Tigers DL is ferocious. Clemson 45 TAMmy 24

Vols vs West Virginia - The Mountaineers have maybe the best O in the nation. The Vols were a dumpster fire last year, but I got a feeling they will have a better year. It just won't look like it in this game. Mountaineers 56 Volunqueers - 31

Us vs Austin Peay - Yawn....Swift plays one quarter and we will see enough of Fields to make everyone start thinking there's some sort of QB controversy....puuuuuulease! UGA 63 Whatever they are 3

I kinda agree with most of your predictions, except for Austin Peay. At the risk of sounding like Munson, I think Austin Peay may be a little better than we all expect. They were 8-4 last year with 3 losses coming to FBS teams, and the 4th to conf champ & 4th ranked Jax St. They'll have a veteran team with several preseason All-Conference guys. Now yeah, that being said, they're still FCS and we're still going to win. But I think it'll be marginally bigger than the App St game last year. Maybe something like 45-9 or so. I doubt we put up 60+ in week 1.

Other than that, I think you're spot on.

I am thinking LSU is going to be something of a surprise team on the upside and they beat Miami, and then lose some games late they perhaps shouldn't.

I also think Auburn is the other way and UDubb beats them.

Did anyone at Laville say "We want bama!" yet?

I hope the Dawgs play Bama this year (or next).

Well, thanks for that enlightenment there Red.....I really wasn't aware that Austin Peay had that kinda season last year. Shows you how much I keep up with the lower level teams. They might give us some semblance of a fight....maybe it's just what we need though, with the Gamecocks on deck. Don't want to get too cocky going into that one...no pun intended! lol
