Bottomline: Go undefeated or go home.

This is a glaringly obvious attempt to set the narrative before the season even starts. A couple things here: first off, Georgia still had to win the SEC-C to get into the CFP, just like Wisconsin. Had they won the B1G-C (against an Ohio St team who had not one, but two embarrassing blowout losses on the season) they would have been in. Period. Just win. And second, this moron actually tries to make a case for Wisconsin beating a 4-win BYU team? Really? We're talking about a team who got BLOWN OUT by Utah State AND East Carolina!

No. Even with Austin Peay, MTSU & UMass, our schedule compares quite favorably with Wisconsin's last year. As sorry as we all know gtu to be, they're still a more respectable opponent than any of the non-con tomato cans Wisky lined up last year. And look at the conference schedule. Last year, Wisconsin had cross divisional games with Maryland, Indiana and Michigan - that's the two worst teams in the B1G-East and three of the bottom four. This year, we have LSU, Auburn and if we are fortunate enough to make it back to Atlanta possibly Alabama - that will likely be the top three from the mighty West. The only ranked teams they beat last year were Iowa and Michigan - both of whom had 5 losses.

Yes, our schedule is easier than it normally is, but it's still more challenging than what most B1G teams usually face. We're going to have to take care of our own business if we want to return to the CFP, but saying we're facing an "undefeated or bust" "Wisconsin treatment" is your typical Big Ten crybaby nonsense from a home-grown Big Ten shill. Connor, we ain't buying it.

Wisconsin does play 9 conference games with somewhat offsets their light OOC slate.

If you win your conference with 0 or 1 loss, you almost certainly make the playoff.

If you don't win your conference, you're on very thin ice and I'd argue you should be left out barring unusual circumstances.

Absolutely. Of course every year has different circumstances, but us, Clem & Okl all got in with 1 loss by winning the conference. Had Ohio St simply beaten a 5-loss Iowa team, they'd have gotten in. By the same token, had Wisc beaten OSU in the B1G-C, they'd have gotten in. Since there were no other major conference 0 or 1 loss champions, that left the door open for Bama to get in as a 1 loss non-champion. Heck, if Southern Cal had just beaten Washington St, they probably would have gotten in at 12-1.

I'm not so sure here. Their conference slate was so weak last year. They were in the weaker B1G West, and they played the bottom two teams from the East plus Mich which made it 3 of the bottom 4. The only teams who were ranked at the time they played were Iowa and Michigan, both were at home, and both finished the season unranked with 5 losses. They played Northwestern who finished 17th, but was unranked at the time they played having just lost to Duke. All three of those games were at home. Had Georgia played that schedule, everyone across the country would be screaming about how easy our schedule was. It really was a cakewalk.
