They list Zeus and Cook together as one entry? Really?!?!
Also, they mention Surtain's speed, and he's fast with a best of 10.87 in the 100M, but Tyson Campbell (10.42), James Cook (10.63), Tommy Bush (10.71), and Kearis Jackson (10.72) all have posted faster times (that is, official, non wind-aided times).

Those times were all wind-aided, but yes, they've all (Campbell, Cook, White, Bush & Jackson) posted faster times than Surtain.

Seems like every year 2-3-4-5 freshmen in the SEC excel and few get on such preseason lists. Sometimes it can be "injury-enabled" (Fromm). I don't expect either FR RB at UGA to "excel" because of the three guys ahead of them likely to get most of the carries, but it could happen. Dooley didn't expect much from 34 that night in Tennessee. (I was in North Carolina at the time at the GF's parent's house and excusing myself to go to the car and try and tune in WSB from 300 miles away to catch some of the game.)

Anyway, I don't think these writers really have much of an idea who is going to excel but they have to write something, so they do, in July. It's akin to all these preseason rankings everyone adjusts monthly to get attention and clicks. Eh.
