ATHENS - Camp season is here and there are offers flying out of Athens today as several in-state prospects hit the field and impressed the Georgia Bulldog staff.
An in-state defensive back who earned a Bulldog offer early this week was Columbia (GA) athlete, Reshaad Silver. The impressive Atlanta-area defensive back is a new 2027 target to keep a close eye on after sharing his thoughts on the big offer.
“I was ecstatic about it”, Silver said. “I know that Georgia is one of the most successful football programs and known for their top-tier development. It means a lot knowing they want me to be apart of the greatness.”
As a junior last fall, Silver made 41 tackles and two forced fumbles to go along with multiple pass-breakups in coverage.
On tape, Silver shows plenty of speed and the ability to make a play on the ball. Not only can he help on offense as a receiver, but the 6-foot-2 180-pound athlete is also a major weapon on special teams. He’s a versatile defensive back who covers a lot of ground and properly wraps up the ball-carrier.
The Bulldogs do not have a current defensive back on the commit list so Silver is an in-state target to know about moving forward. He’ll be in Athens for his official visit the weekend of June 12th. He’ll take his official visit to Arkansas this weekend and has an official visit set up to Kansas State the weekend of June 19th.
DON’T FORGET YOUR FANDUEL BETS!!
According to FanDuel, the Atlanta Braves have -475 odds to win the NL East this season.
Of course Silver wasn’t the only defender who earned an offer this week. Defensive line coach Tray Scott extended several new offers and even found a new target in the current 2027 class.
That would be sleeper defensive tackle, Dennis Glenn Jr. The giant 6-foot-2 290-pounder at Boiling Springs (SC) impressed during the camp and left Athens with an offer. He may not have a giant offer list overall, but it’s clear coach Scott liked what he saw during Glenn’s private workout.
Glenn Jr. is fresh off a dominant junior season where he lived in the backfield week after week. He ended the 2025 season with 64 tackles, 21 TFLs and six sacks from the interior. He’s naturally strong, plays with max effort, good leverage, and can bring some much-needed pass-rush from the middle of the trenches. With the Dawgs extending an offer, look for others to do the same as he continues the camp circuit this summer.
