ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs are off to a great start on the offensive line in the 2027 class.

They’ve got four-star offensive tackle Kelsey Adams‍ (Langston Hughes, GA) on the commit list and recently landed a commitment from three-star tackle, Ty Johnson‍ (Lucy Beckham, SC). With two tackles on the board, new Bulldog offensive line coach Phil Rauscher had the Bulldogs in a favorable position for one of the top interior offensive line prospects in the country.

That would be four-star, Jackson Roper‍. The big 6-foot-4 290-pounder is the No. 1 player in Colorado and was in Athens over the weekend for a big unofficial visit to Georgia.

Of course, Roper made sure to break down his visit with Dawg Post.

“The biggest take away for me was the speed and intensity at which everything moves at UGA,” Roper told Dawg Post.  “Everything from meetings to practice is done with an urgency we’ve rarely seen during this process.  It was great to see the guys flying around and making the most of their time.  This is the kind of deliberate action that gets me excited about a program.  It’s not surprising that Coach Smart and the Bulldogs have had a sustained level of success that exceeds the average program.”

On film, is easy to see why Roper is ranked as a top-200 prospect across the country. The big, physical lineman dominated at left tackle throughout the 2025 season for his Cherry Creek (CO) team, driving defenders into the ground on a consistent basis. He showed impressive footwork, mobility, and the ability to open up easy running lanes. He’s a max-effort lineman who plays hard and showed every week why he’s the top-ranked player in the state.

Roper is ranked as the No. 13 interior OL prospect and the No. 200 overall prospect in the country for the 2027 class.
