UGA Football Coach Kirby Smart Gives Latest Injury Update To Start Spring Practice

ATHENS - Georgia Bulldog football is officially back.
Spring practice is here, and so is the start of the 2026 journey.
Georgia head coach Kirby Smart spoke with reporters on Tuesday afternoon and gave the latest injury update before his team took the practice field.
Starting center Drew Bobo, who was out for last year’s Sugar Bowl, will also be out for spring practice according to Smart. Bobo is an experienced veteran and one of the more important players on Georgia’s offense for the 2026 season.
Veteran defensive lineman Jordan Hall is still recovering from a leg injury during the season but is “running and doing some things”. He will not participate this spring.

According to FanDuel, the Michigan Wolverines have +380 odds of winning the national championship this spring.
EDGE defender Gabe Harris is still dealing with a turf toe injury from the end of last season that will keep him out this spring. Like Bobo, Harris is an experienced player who was not able to play during Georgia’s Sugar Bowl loss to Ole Miss.
Kyron Jones still dealing with an ankle injury that ended his second half of last season. Now, he’ll continue to miss this spring. A starter last season, getting Jones back to full health will go a long way in how Georgia’s secondary plays next fall.
Freshman defensive lineman Carter Luckie is still recovering from knee surgery that he had in high school.
Sophomore linebacker Zayden Walker had labrum repair and “might” be out for spring.
