ATHENS - A major Georgia Bulldog wide receiver target will be back in Athens today.

One of the top pass-catchers across the South, four-star Amare Patterson‍ announced that he will be back in Athens for another unofficial visit on Tuesday to watch Georgia’s first spring practice.

The South Carolina native is no stranger to Athens and has Georgia towards the top of his list at the moment. The Florida Gators are towards the top for Patterson as well, but James Coley and the offensive staff have another chance today to leave a big impression on one of their biggest targets.

“Coach Coley has emphasized how much I fit their culture and the standard they hold at Georgia.”

Patterson is ranked as the No. 33 WR prospect and the No. 247 overall in the 2027 class. As a junior last season, the Bluffton (SC) star caught 51 passes for 912 yards and 10 touchdowns.

According to FanDuel, the Georgia Bulldogs have +950 odds to reach the Sweet 16 in the NCAA tournament.

Another 2027 target to know about is three-star offensive lineman Carter Jones‍. The physical 6-foot-5 280-pounder from Virginia at Poquoson High School was in Athens on Monday, March 16th for an unofficial visit. The Bulldogs have been recruiting Jones for over a year now and will host him again during G-Day next month for his official visit.

“Georgia special is their ability to send offensive lineman to the next level and develop the players throughout their four years at the University.”

Jones is currently ranked as the No. 27 interior OL prospect and the No. 422 overall prospect in the country.

Later this week the Georgia staff will be hosting one of the top young prospects in the state in Pike County (GA) athlete, Keylan Yates.

He may be young, but Yates is a tremendous multi-sport athlete who can play all over the gridiron in the fall. He’s a smooth, natural runner with outstanding ball-skills, versatility, and big-play ability. At 5-foot-11 175-pounds, Yates is one of the very best 2029 prospects not only in Georgia, but across the South. His stock is rising, and he’ll be back in Athens to watch Georgia take the field for spring practice on Thursday.
