ATHENS - Kirby Smart and James Coley have extended an offer this week for one of the fastest-rising prospects in Georgia.

Cartersville (GA) wide receiver Madoxx Davis‍.

A natural pass-catcher who already brings impressive route-tree, Davis brings plenty of speed and size at 6-foot-1 195-pounds. Just a sophomore, Davis was a dynamic playmaker both on offense and in the return game last season. He’s terrific after the catch, can break tackles down the field, and can out-run defenders with ease on the perimeter.

The fast-rising wideout earned a Georgia offer on Sunday after a tremendous showing at the Atlanta Under Armour Camp where he was named a top performer.

Davis had a lot to say after picking up his big offer.

DON’T FORGET YOUR FANDUEL BETS!!

According to FanDuel, the Georgia Bulldogs are 2.5-point favorites over St. Louis in the 2026 NCAA tournament.

“I was grateful to have received the UGA offer,” Davis told Dawg Post. “I went to a couple game-day visits and camp last year so I’m familiar with the campus. I have talking to Coach Coley since last year and he said he’s always liked me. My teammate and opposite receiver Brady Marchese was committed there all last year so coach Coley was around a lot. I also liked how they used Zachariah Branch in the offense last year. I could see myself in that role 100%.”

While Marchese, a former Bulldog commitment who flipped to Michigan before signing with Auburn, was Cartersville’s primary option at wide receiver last year. However, Davis showed easy Power Four talent and was a consistent weapon whenever the ball came his way.

The versatile wideout hauled in 36 passes last season for 774 yards and six touchdowns. He also made 15 tackles on defense while returning two kicks and one punt return back for touchdowns on special teams.

He’s got size, burst, ball skills, and the potential to light up the stat sheet as a junior next season. He’s one of the top returning receivers across North Georgia next season and should continue to see major offers come his way.
