NASHVILLE, TN - Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs have a superstar on the way in five-star quarterback, Jared Curtis.
Ranked as the No. 2 QB prospect in the country, Curtis committed to Georgia over Oregon back in May and got his senior season off to a giant start with 300 total yards and four touchdowns during Nashville Christian’s 56-28 win over Davidson Academy.
He’s big, physical, and has an absolute rocket for a right arm. It only took one throw on Friday night to realize that we were about to watch something special.
And let me tell you, Jared Curtis is a special quarterback.
The big 6-foot-3 225-pounder was outstanding all night long in his season-opener, proving why he’s one of the very best prospects across the country.
The natural arm talent of his caliber isn’t something you see very often. The ball zips out of his hand like a missile. He can fit the ball into tight windows but also throws with touch down the field. He showed a good feel for the pocket, bought time with ease, and made several accurate throws on the run.
Oh yeah, and he runs like a truck. The big Nashville native runs with authority who has no problem powering his way through contact. He doesn’t play against the best competition, but his physical running style and elite arm talent was noticeable from the very first play.
DON’T FORGET YOUR FANDUEL BETS!!
According to FanDuel, the New York Yankees have +1000 odds to win the World Series this season.
He did throw one bad “hero ball” that was picked off, but it’s not one he’ll likely attempt at the next level.
The senior gunslinger absolutely lived up to the hype during his first game of the 2025 season. The talent is undeniable. The arm strength is jaw-dropping. The accuracy is elite.
Now, it’s about learning and staying hungry. To grow as a quarterback. To work on his decision making and adapt to SEC play. The transition won’t be easy, but the potential is easy to see.
Curtis ended the game 14/16 for 247 yards and three touchdown passes. His first was a seven-yard touchdown strike on the run. His second came on a short pass to the running back in the flats. His third was a beautiful deep ball down the sideline that allowed the receiver to catch it in stride for a long touchdown. He also ran six times for 44 yards and one more touchdown.
The hype is real, and Georgia fans should be excited...
