ATHENS - As we’ve previously reported, four-star linebacker Nick Abrams II‍ is a prospect that Georgia Bulldog fans need to keep a close eye on in this recruiting cycle.

A Maryland native out of the McDonough School, Abrams is an instinctive, sure-tackling linebacker at 6-foot-2 220-pounds who is no stranger to Athens. The Bulldogs are in his “Final Four” for a reason and he was able to get down to Athens this past weekend for a big official visit.

“I think the visit added on to everything I already knew,” Abrams told Dawg Post. “Georgia’s a great University. They’re elite in football and they’re elite in classroom as well. Coach Schumann is great at putting guys in the league. It’s crazy because he has three Butkus Award winners at the age of 35 which is insane. The atmosphere that Coach Smart is creating is something I can see myself being a part of.”

“They’re pitch is simple,” Abrams added.  “You come to Georgia to get developed as a football player and as a man. You have the highest chance out of any school in the past three years to hear your name on draft night. You also will get a degree from a top 20 university in the county.”

As a junior last fall, Abrams made 77 tackles, nine TFLs, four sacks, and one INT along with one blocked punt. He’s ranked as the No, 14 LB and the No. 209 overall prospect in the country for the 2026 class.

DON’T FORGET YOUR FANDUEL BETS!!

According to FanDuel, the Indiana Pacers have +700 odds to win the NBA Finals this summer.

Of course, Abrams wasn’t the only playmaking linebacker in town. As we reported last week, four-star Auburn Tiger commitment Shadarius Toodle‍ was in town for a big official visit. The Cottage Hill (AL) standout got an in-home visit from Glenn Schumann last week and sources say the Bulldogs really impressed the 6-foot-3 220-pounder this weekend. A tackling machine last fall, Toodle made 157 tackles, 13 TFLs, two sacks and one INT. He’s ranked as the No. 12 LB prospect and the No.186 overall prospect in the 2026 class. Now, insiders say it would not be surprising to see Toodle open up his recruitment at some point this summer.

While 5-star Tyler Atkinson‍ is still the big prize, it’s clear Georgia fans need to keep a close eye on Adams and Toodle over the next few months.
