ATHENS - Want to feel old?
Former Georgia Bulldog standout Thomas Davis, one of the best linebackers of the Mark Richt era, has a son committed to Notre Dame.
Thomas Davis Jr.
Now, this four-star linebacker out of Weddington (NC) has earned an offer from his old man’s alma mater. The Bulldogs came on late here as the young four-star is already committed to the Fighting Irish, but this is still an interesting offer. Before becoming a playmaking linebacker in the NFL for the Carolina Panthers, Davis was a tough, hard-hitting linebacker in Athens from 2002-2024, earning All-American honors in his final season before being selected with the No. 14 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Now, Jr. is hoping to make a name for himself. The 6-foot-2 210-pounder made 62 tackles last fall as a junior with 8 TFLs and two INTs. He’s ranked as the No.11 LB prospect and the No. 181 overall prospect in the country for the 2026 class.
He’s been committed to the Irish since November 12th.

According to FanDuel, the Atlanta Falcons have +220 odds to win the NFC South next year.
Davis Jr. isn’t the only major prospect to earn a Bulldog offer on Wednesday.
The Dawgs offered one of the very best prospects in Georgia and someone who could push for five-star status in Hampton (GA) athlete, Kamarui Dorsey. An elite prospect who can make big plays all over the field, Dorsey is a sure-handed wideout who will likely play in the secondary at the next level. The lean, athletic 6-foot-2 190-pounder shined as a pass-catcher last season where he hauled in 41 passes for 668 yards and 10 touchdowns. Defensively, the promising safety made 58 tackles and three INTs.
He’s one of the top two-way players in the Atlanta area who has earned recent offers from Georgia, Texas A&M, Mississippi State, USC, among others.
“When I got the UGA offer I was very exited”, Dorsey told Dawg Post. “It shows all the work I’ve been putting in has been paying off. I think UGA is one of the best programs in college football and they produce some of the best and most talented players, turning them into NFL-caliber players.”
Dorsey is ranked as the No. 3 safety and the No. 27 overall prospect in the country for the 2027 class.
